Plot[]
Tess tries to get along with Kaylee when Jack begins dating her mother, but when Tess realizes that Kaylee is impossible, she claims to have nightmares to separate the new couple because when she had nightmares as a kid her parents did whatever she asked (this is how she got out of eating Brussel Sprouts when she was a kid). Her plan fails on the end because her dad figures her out.
